I'm a civil engineer, doctoral researcher, and freelance consultant based in Colombia, with nearly five decades of continuous work at the intersection of physical science and code. I'm not an engineer who learned to program, nor a programmer who knows some hydraulics — I've developed mathematical models of cohesive sediment transport and implemented them in high-performance Fortran and run them on HPC clusters. That depth on both sides is genuinely rare.
Over time I've expanded into computer vision, AI-assisted data analysis, legacy code modernization, and backend Python development. I work in English and Spanish, taking on one to three concurrent projects at a time so every client gets real attention.
I treat ambiguity as a professional liability: I scope carefully, communicate clearly about complexity and limitations from the start, and only commit to what I can deliver well.
IAHR member since 2010. Active peer reviewer for the Journal of Hydroinformatics (IWA Publishing / IAHR).
