fortriage

AI-powered prioritized dashboard for legacy Fortran systems. Combines static analysis, risk prioritization, interactive visualization and a conversational assistant to decide what to modernize first.

forti4d

Static analysis toolkit for real-world, mixed Fortran code (F77/F90/F95), right where general-purpose parsers fail. Resumable 19-step pipeline with detailed logging.

Why choose me

Science and software engineering in one person

I have developed mathematical models, implemented them in high-performance Fortran and run them on HPC clusters. That is why I understand both the code and the problem it solves.

01

I understand the problem, not just the code

I can tell when a result “runs” but makes no physical sense.

02

Clear scope from day one

I explain limits and complexity up front, and only commit to what I can deliver well.

03

Code you can review

This portfolio is the proof: how I structure, test and document, visible before you hire me.

04

Real attention

One to three projects at a time. You talk directly to the person writing the code, in English or Spanish.

How I work

From problem to delivery

  1. First conversationYou tell me about the problem, the data and the constraints.
  2. Proposal and scopeDeliverables, timeline and price in writing.
  3. Iterative developmentFrequent progress in a repository you can see, with tests.
  4. Delivery and handoverCode, documentation and instructions so your team can carry on.

Testimonials

What clients say

Sample text. These testimonials are fictional and only show the section layout. They must be replaced with real client feedback (with permission) before publishing.
Example
“We had a 1990s Fortran model nobody dared to touch. Now it runs as a Python library, with tests and the same numerical results.”
Sample nameTech lead · Environmental consultancy
Example
“What I valued most was the clarity: from the proposal on, we knew what would be delivered, what wouldn’t, and why.”
Sample nameResearcher · University group
Example
“He added an LLM assistant to our analysis without locking us into one provider. We moved to a local model without rewriting anything.”
Sample nameProduct manager · Data startup

FAQ

Before you write

Can I use these projects in my work?
Yes. Projects released under the MIT license can be used, modified and redistributed, commercially too, as long as the license notice is kept. Check each repository’s LICENSE file.
Are they production-ready?
Each card shows its status. Those marked Alpha or MVP are under active development and their API may change. If you need one of them stable for your use case, we can work on it as a project.
Can I contribute or report bugs?
Of course! Open an issue or a pull request on the repository. Some projects have a CONTRIBUTING.md guide with the details.
My Fortran code is old and nobody understands it. Can you help?
That is exactly my specialty. First I analyze it (dependencies, complexity, risks) with tools like forti4d and fortriage, and tell you what to modernize first. Then we decide: wrap it for use from Python, refactor it or migrate it, checking that the numerical results do not change.
How do I hire you and how much does it cost?
It depends on the scope. After a first conversation I send a written proposal with a price. You can hire me on Fiverr, which protects payment for both sides, or directly by email.
Who owns the code of a contracted project?
You do. Once the project is finished and paid, the code belongs to the client. If it is confidential it stays private; if you want to release part of it as open source, I can help.
